Biography
Germán Sánchez Hernández-Cobos was a prolific Spanish actor who appeared in a variety of European films. Born in Seville on July 7, 1927, he was the son of stage actor Fernando Cobos and spent part of his childhood in San Sebastian. He initially studied architecture before joining the Teatro Español Universitario in 1949. After moving to Madrid, he enrolled in the School of Dramatic Art and the Official School of Cinematography. He made his screen debut in 1951 in the film La leona de Castilla. He later worked as a leading man in the comedy company of Lilí Murati. Cobos was married to Visitación Peralta and died in Almuñécar, Granada, on January 12, 2015.
