George Wang was a Taiwanese actor and film producer born on November 12, 1918, in Dandong, Liaoning, China, who passed away on March 27, 2015, at the age of ninety-six. Also known as Wang Yie, Wang Jie, and Wang Chun-yang, he enrolled in the Shanghai drama school China Film Studio in 1938 and made his film debut the following year in Defending Our Homeland. In 1949, Wang relocated to Taiwan and emerged as a major star in early Taiwanese cinema. By the end of the 1950s, he moved to Italy and became an active character actor in genre films, including adventure films, spy films, and Spaghetti Westerns, frequently portraying villains. Benefiting from a good command of English, he appeared in a multitude of Italian films throughout his career.
