Directed by Rikki, who also starred as Talula, Gary played the janitor Fizzy. Although Rikki attempted to invite the original film's director Alan Parker to the production, Parker's assistant attended instead and used her connections to enroll Rikki, Gary, and their younger sister into the community based Anna Scher Theatre School. During this formative period, Beadle also developed a strong love for hip hop, particularly enjoying the music of Run D.M.C. and the Sugarhill Gang.
