Eiichi Kudo was a Japanese film director born on July 17, 1929, in Tomakomai, Hokkaido, Japan. Known for directing, his career included 76 known credits and he directed 30 films between 1956 and 1998. Among his most notable works are the 1963 film 13 Assassins and the 1964 film The Great Killing. Another significant film in his career was his 1982 film Yaju-deka, which was entered into the 33rd Berlin International Film Festival. He was also associated with Toei, having joined the studio during his career. Eiichi Kudo passed away on September 23, 2000, at the age of 71.
