Edward Snowden is an American computer professional and former Central Intelligence Agency employee who leaked classified information from the National Security Agency in 2013. He is known for revealing global surveillance programs. Snowden is also an actor and writer, known for appearances in Citizenfour, Snowden, and The Alternative Christmas Message 2013. He has been married to Lindsay Mills and they have two children. Snowden was born on June 21, 1983, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He was charged with espionage and sought refuge in Russia.
