Earl Hindman was an American actor born on October 20, 1942. He is best-known for his role as the kindly neighbor Wilson W. Wilson Jr. in the television sitcom Home Improvement, which aired from 1991 to 1999. Hindman also played bad guys in two 1970s thrillers, The Taking of Pelham One Two Three and The Parallax View. Prior to his role on Home Improvement, he played Bob Reid in 459 episodes of the television show Ryan's Hope, which aired from 1975 to 1989. Hindman passed away on December 29, 2003, at the age of 61.
