Biography
Dezső Garas was a Hungarian actor born on 9 September 1934. Over the course of his career, which began in 1956, he appeared in more than 145 films and television productions. Among his notable work, he starred in the 1993 film Whoops, which was selected for entry into the 43rd Berlin International Film Festival. Following a long illness, Garas died in Budapest on 30 December 2011 at the age of 77. His extensive filmography reflects a professional life spanning several decades in the Hungarian entertainment industry. His contributions are recognized through his long-standing presence in both film and television media throughout his lifetime.
