He has been involved in the entertainment industry since the age of two, when he was cast in ITV's Emmerdale. Dexter returned to Emmerdale in 2019 to play Lucas Taylor, a role he held until 2021. He has also appeared in the Sky series The Midwich Cuckoos as David Saunders and in the book adaptation of Charlie and Me, (500 Miles), where he played the role of Charlie.
