Derek Tsang Kwok-Cheung, also known as Kwok Cheung Tsang, is a Hong Kong film director and actor born in Hong Kong, China on November 8, 1979. He is the son of actor Eric Tsang. After graduating from the University of Toronto Scarborough in 2001, he began his career in the Hong Kong film industry working for director Peter Chan Ho-Sun. He made his acting debut in the 2003 film Men Suddenly in Black. His directorial debut was the 2010 film Lover's Discourse, which he co-directed with Jimmy Wan Chi-Man, earning the duo a nomination for a Golden Horse Award for Best New Director in 2010. His solo directorial debut was the 2016 critically praised film Soul Mate, which received a Best Film nomination at the 36th Hong Kong Film Awards.
