Sir Derek George Jacobi CBE is an English actor who was born on October 22, 1938, in Leytonstone, London, England, United Kingdom. Known for his work at the Royal National Theatre as well as his numerous film and television roles, he has received many accolades throughout his career. His honors include a BAFTA Award, two Olivier Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Tony Award. In 1994, he was given a knighthood for his services to theatre by Queen Elizabeth II. He is credited with 222 known acting credits in the entertainment industry.
