Derek Drymon, born November 19, 1968, in Morristown, New Jersey, is an American animator, writer, storyboard artist, director, comedian and producer. He grew up attending Jefferson Township and Dover public schools, where he developed an early interest in drawing and creating comic books. After graduating from Jefferson Township High School in 1987, Drymon studied illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York, earning his degree in 1992. He secured an internship with Disney based on his life‑drawing portfolio.
