Biography
Derek de Lint, born Dick Hein de Lint on July 17, 1950, in The Hague, is a Dutch film and television actor. In 1977, he played the character Alex in the film Soldier of Orange, which was directed by Paul Verhoeven. In 1986, he played the role of Anton Steenwijk in The Assault, a film that won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1986. Later, in 2006, de Lint starred in Verhoeven's Black Book as Gerben Kuipers. On television, he was a regular cast member on the science fiction drama Poltergeist: The Legacy, which ran from 1996 to 1999.
