Biography

Daniel Zillmann (born January 18, 1981, in West Berlin) is a German actor, voice actor, and singer.

Daniel Zillmann grew up in Berlin-Neukölln and completed his acting training at the Special Coaching Actors Studio in Berlin. He made his feature film debut in 2005 in NVA, directed by Leander Haußmann. Numerous roles in film and television productions followed, including Schwere Jungs, Schwarze Schafe, Gonger – Das Böse vergisst nie, and the fairy-tale film Die kluge Bauerntochter. He played recurring roles in various TV series, including Deadline – Jede Sekunde zählt, KDD – Kriminaldauerdienst, and—since 2017—Löwenzahn, in which he plays the character David Paschulke.

Zillmann is also successful as a voice actor. He has voiced roles in animated films such as Baymax – Riesiges Robowabohu (the German dub of Big Hero 6), Zoomania (Zootopia), and the Hotel Transylvania film series. Furthermore, he works as an audio drama performer and has appeared in numerous other film and television productions, including Buddy, Zettl, Sommer in Orange, and the ZDF miniseries Der gleiche Himmel.

Alongside his acting career, Zillmann is also active in the music scene. He was the lead singer of the band Norma Jeane Baker and, together with Luci van Org, founded the musical project KiNG MAMI. He was also a member of the Berlin-based artist collective "HüKST." For his role in the web series World of Wolfram, he was nominated for "Outstanding Actor" at the LA Web Fest. Since 2019, he has also written a column for Curvy Magazin. In 2021, Zillmann was among the actors who publicly came out as queer as part of the #actout initiative.
