Chris Sievey was an English musician, comedian, artist, and actor. He was known for fronting the band the Freshies during the late 1970s and early 1980s, and for his comic persona Frank Sidebottom, which he performed from 1984 onwards. His persona served as an inspiration for the 2014 film Frank. As an actor, his known credits include work in television and film productions such as No 73 in 1982, What's Up Doc? in 1992, and Frank Sidebottom's Fantastic Shed Show in 1992.
