Biography
Christopher Michael Sanders, born March 12, 1962, is an American filmmaker, animator, and voice actor. He is known for co-writing and directing Lilo & Stitch (2002) and How to Train Your Dragon (2010) with Dean DeBlois, as well as The Croods (2013) with Kirk DeMicco. Sanders created the character Stitch in 1985, wrote the story for the film, and provided the voice for Stitch in nearly all of his appearances. He also directed The Call of the Wild (2020), marking his live-action directorial debut, and helmed The Wild Robot (2024). His work on these animated features earned him multiple Academy Award for Best Animated Feature nominations.
