Biography
Caterina Murino is an Italian actress born on September 15, 1977, in Cagliari, Sardinia. In 1996, she placed fourth in the Miss Italy contest. Following this, she relocated to Milan, where she worked as a model for brands including Mastercard, Swatch, Mercedes-Benz, and Nescafe. Between 1999 and 2000, she studied acting at the Scuola di Cinema e Teatro di Francesca de Sapio. Murino made her professional acting debut in 1999 in a stage production of Richard III. She began her film and television career in 2002, appearing in various Italian, German, and French productions. She achieved a breakthrough in her career with the 2004 film The Corsican File. She is also known for her role in Casino Royale.
