Carolyn Dunn is a Canadian actress born on March 18, 1961, in Whitney Pier, Nova Scotia, also noted as Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. As a child, she worked as a figure skater and model. She began her acting career in the late 1970s, appearing in television movies and miniseries. In 1985, she starred in the Canadian comedy series Head Office. Her breakthrough role came in 1989 when she was cast as Sylvie Gerard in the television series Tropical Heat, which was also known as Sweating Bullets in the United States and ran for four seasons. In addition to Tropical Heat, Dunn has appeared in other television series, including The Outer Limit.
