Bulle Ogier, born Marie‑France Thielland on 9 August 1939 in Boulogne‑Billancourt, Seine (now Hauts‑de‑Seine), France, is a French actress. She made her screen debut in the short film Voilà l'Ordre, directed by Jacques Baratier and featuring emerging 1960s singers such as Boris Vian and Claude Nougaro. Ogier has worked with directors Jacques Rivette on titles including L’Amour fou, Céline et Julie vont en bateau, Duelle, Le Pont du Nord and La Bande des Quatre; with Luis Buñuel on Le charme discret de la bourgeoisie; and with René Allio, Claude Lelouch, Jean‑Paul Civeyrac, Claude Duty, Marguerite Duras, Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Barbet Schroeder.
