Blanca Guerra Islas is a Mexican actress born on January 10, 1953, in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. Initially a dentistry student, she abandoned her studies to attend the UNAM University Theater Center, which enabled her debut as a theater actress. She later ventured into cinema, starting with the film La loca de los milagros, which marked her artistic debut and the beginning of an extensive film career that includes more than sixty films. In 1983, she served as a member of the jury at the 13th Moscow International Film Festival. Later, in 2018, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences invited her to be a special part of its new members.
