Bernd Stegemann
Biography
Bernd Stegemann (born January 9, 1949, in Berlin) is a German actor.
Bernd Stegemann completed his acting training at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in East Berlin and, in 1985, emigrated from the GDR to the Federal Republic of Germany together with Renate Krößner. From 1985 to 1993, he was a member of the ensemble at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. Since the mid-1970s, he has appeared in numerous film and television productions, establishing himself as a character actor. His notable roles include appearances in Alles auf Zucker!, Contergan, and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex, in which he portrayed Hanns Martin Schleyer. Stegemann is a member of the German Film Academy and the Federal Association of Actors (BFFS).
