Biography
Barbora Bobuľová is a Slovak-born actress who has worked primarily in Italy since 1995. Born in Martin, Czechoslovakia, on April 29, 1974, she trained at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Bratislava. Her early career included television and film roles in Slovakia, such as the 1986 production Polovacka na otca and the 1988 film Vlakari. After moving to Italy, she made her feature film debut in the 1997 production The Prince of Homburg. She gained significant recognition for her performance as Maya in the 2005 film Cuore Sacro, winning the David di Donatello for Best Actress. She also received awards from the Ciak d'Oro, the Flaiano Film Festival, and the Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists.
