Barbie Hsu was a Taiwanese actress and singer born in Taipei, Taiwan on October 6, 1976. She passed away on February 2, 2025 at the age of 48. Before her acting career, she had a singing career in a duo group called S.O.S. with her sister Dee Hsu, which later changed its name to ASOS. Their final album was titled Abnormal Girls. As an actress, she is best known for her role as Shan Cai in the Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden, a Japanese manga adaptation of Boys Over Flowers, and Mars alongside Vic Chou of F4. Her first movie role was in the Chinese film The Ghost Inside. On November 16, 2010, she married Chinese entrepreneur Wang Xiaofei in a civil ceremony in Beijing, and they held a wedding banquet on Hainan Island on March 22, 2011.
