Her father is of Dominican and Puerto Rican descent, and her mother is from the Dominican Republic. She was raised in the small town of Montgomery, New York, where she enjoyed softball, field hockey, and competitive cheerleading, and developed an interest in acting. She later relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she began her acting career in the local film market.
