Anthony Steffen, born Antônio Luiz de Teffé von Hoonholtz, was an Italian Brazilian film actor. He lived from July 21, 1930, until June 4, 2004. Steffen became a leading man in more than 25 Spaghetti Western features and was a star of Italian and Spanish westerns during the 1960s. Because of his work in the genre, he was sometimes referred to as the European Clint Eastwood. In addition to his western films, he appeared in Beatrice Cenci, Zamilovaní, and Roma l'altra faccia della violenza.
