Angel Locsin is a Filipino actress and humanitarian born on April 23, 1985. She is known for her dramatic roles, particularly as heroines and mythological characters in film and television. Locsin had her breakthrough in the fantasy series Mulawin and starred as the titular superhero in Darna. She earned an International Emmy Award nomination for Best Actress for her role in Lobo. Locsin is a recipient of multiple awards, including four Star Awards, three FAMAS Awards, two Box Office Entertainment Awards, and a Luna Award.
