Andrey Sokolov is a theater and film actor, director, screenwriter, and producer. He was born on August 13, 1962, in Moscow. Sokolov graduated from the Moscow Aviation Technological Institute in 1986 and the evening department of the Institute of Foreign Languages in 1991. He also graduated from the acting department of the Higher Theater School named after B.V. Shchukin in 1990. Since 1990, Sokolov has been an actor at the Lenkom Theater. He has been the artistic director of the theater "Monologue XXI century" since 1999. Sokolov is a People's Artist of Russia, a title he received on December 20, 2005. He is known for his work in acting, with 67 known credits.
