Biography
Andrey Sokolov is a Russian theater and film actor. He was born in Moscow on August 13, 1962. Sokolov graduated from the Moscow Aviation Technological Institute in 1986 and the evening department of the Institute of Foreign Languages in 1991. He also graduated from the acting department of the Higher Theater School named after B.V. Shchukin in 1990, where he studied under Lyudmila Stavskaya. Since 1990, Sokolov has been an actor at the Lenkom Theater. He has also served as the artistic director of the theater "Monologue XXI century" since 1999. Sokolov was awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia on December 20, 2005.
