In late 1993, she accepted a full scholarship offered by the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and subsequently moved to the United States in 1994.

Alongside her performance background, Sooch is trained in psychodrama, drama therapy, and group therapy, and she is a licensed and published clinician. She speaks native Hungarian, is fluent in German, and reads and writes in Russian.
