Biography
Aldo Valletti was an Italian film actor born in Rome on January 2, 1930, and he died on January 1, 1992. His first cinema appearance, which was uncredited, occurred in 1956 in Poveri ma belli, directed by Dino Risi. After taking on numerous uncredited and minor roles over more than twenty years, he was chosen in 1975 by director Pier Paolo Pasolini to star as President Curval in the film Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom. In that film, his voice was dubbed by Marco Bellocchio. Regarding the casting choice, Pasolini described Valletti as a generic actor who had never spoken a word in more than twenty years of work. Later in his career, Valletti appeared in supporting roles in a number of other films.
