Alan Fennell (10 December 1936 – 10 December 2001) was a British writer and editor born in Colchester, Essex. He is noted for his extensive work on television series produced by Gerry Anderson, contributing scripts to Fireball XL5, Stingray and more than ten episodes of Thunderbirds, including the episode “30 Minutes After Noon”. Together with Dennis Spooner he co‑wrote 36 Stingray episodes. Fennell also created the magazines TV Century 21 and Look‑in, serving as the first editor of the former, and wrote numerous comic‑strip adaptations. His published books include a novelisation of the 1973 film Digby, the Biggest Dog in the World and two original novels based on the TV series Freewheelers, released in 1972.
