Alain Mottet was a French actor born on December 30, 1928, in Lyon, France, and he died on October 31, 2017, in Paris, France. Throughout his career, he appeared in dozens of films, frequently in secondary roles, and worked in three films with director José Giovanni. In 1965, he played the main role in L'Affaire de la malle à Gouffé. In 1969, he appeared in L'Armée des ombres as the person responsible for the prison camp where Lino Ventura, playing Philippe Gerbier, was imprisoned. For television, he portrayed the police officer Flambart, who relentlessly chased Eugène François Vidocq, played by Bernard Noël in the 1967 television series Vidocq. He also regularly worked with director Abder Isker, including on several episodes of Au théâtre ce soir.
