Ahmed Malek Mostafa is an Egyptian actor born on September 29, 1995, in Cairo, Egypt. His first audition took place when he was eight years old after his uncle took him to perform in a commercial. In 2005, he secured his first television role in the series Ayamna el helwa, which translates to Our Good Days. A few years later, he appeared in a small role in the film Mafish Fayda, which starred Moustafa Amar and Basma. Executive director Osama Farid subsequently cast the then fifteen year old actor as the young Hassan al-Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, in the 2010 television series El-Gamaah, also known as The Brotherhood. This performance is considered his first breakthrough role. Following the 2011 Egyptian Revolution, he stepped away for a short period to focus.
