Abhishek Kapoor is an Indian film director, writer, producer, and former actor who works in Hindi cinema. Born on August 6, 1971, he began his career as an actor in the 1996 film Uff!Yeh Mohabbat, directed by Vipin Handa and starring opposite Twinkle Khanna. After appearing in two more films, he made his directorial debut with Aryan in 2006. In 2008, he wrote and directed the successful musical drama Rock On!!, which marked the acting debut of Farhan Akhtar and earned Kapoor a Filmfare Award in 2009. Known for his work in feature films such as Kai Po Che!, Fitoor, and Kedarnath, Kapoor is also the founder of the production company Guy in the Sky Pictures.
