Aamir Hussain Khan is an Indian actor, filmmaker, and television personality born on March 14, 1965, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Known in the media as Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood, he has established himself as one of the most popular and influential figures in Indian cinema. Beyond his work as an actor, he has served as a director, producer, and television talk-show host. Throughout a career spanning over 30 years, Khan has been recognized for his consistent performances and his professional approach to filmmaking, which includes a commitment to working on only one project at a time and requiring a complete script before production begins. He is also known by the name Mohammed Aamir.

Khan began his career as a child actor in his uncle Nasir Hussain's 1973 film Yaadon Ki Baaraat. He launched his professional career eleven years later with the 1984 film Holi. His first commercial success as a lead actor came with the 1988 film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, which marked his first major starring role. Following this, he received a National Film Award, specifically a Special Jury Award, for his performance in the 1989 film Raakh. Over the course of his career, he has been recognized with numerous awards and has been noted for his success in both the Indian and Chinese film markets. Among his notable adult roles is his performance in the film Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India.
