Biography

Aamir Bashir is an Indian actor and director. His acting career began with a small role on television in the Bhanwar TV series and in several TV advertisements. This led to his film debut in Split Wide Open and the telefilm Doordarshan Srinagar. He made his film debut in the 2003 film Armaan. Bashir received acclaim for his role in the 2008 thriller A Wednesday, where he played a police inspector, and was nominated for a Screen Awards nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Bashir's directorial debut, Harud, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2010, starring Reza Naji and Shahnawaz Bhat.
