Zamalek: Al-Saeed agreed to move to us, and we rejected Bencharki’s request

Tariq Jibril, treasurer of Zamalek club, confirmed that there are negotiations by Hussein Labib, head of the White Castle Management Committee, with Pyramids Club to contract with the player Abdullah Al-Saeed.

And Jibril indicated, in statements to the Sada Al-Balad channel, that Ashraf Bencharki wants to put a clause in his new contract with Zamalek that allows him to leave after the end of the first season, which was rejected by the administration.

Jibril said: “It was agreed with Ashampong to reduce the amount requested from him and to end the crisis file in FIFA. We tried to pay only $600,000, but the agreement was reduced to $900,000, and the way to schedule it will be agreed upon in the coming days.”

And he continued: “Ashraf Bencharki wants to set a penalty clause that allows him to leave Zamalek after the end of the first season in his new contract, and this is completely rejected by the club’s management.”

He added, “We have alternatives in the event that Ashraf Sharqi does not want to renew his contract, we are moving towards completing the contract renewal, but if it occurs, we still have time to compensate him.”

He concluded: “There is already negotiation with Abdullah Al-Saeed, and the player has the ability to join us, but there is no settlement of the terms of the deal so far.”
