The Youtube star Tor Eckhoff, 57, from Norway has died after walking through the ice in Konsgsberg, according to reports from Norwegian media.
Tor Eckhoff was successful under his Youtube name “Apetor”. On the canal, he became known for his inventions and wild antics, which often took place outdoors. He had almost 1.2 million followers on his channel.

According to the police, the fatal accident occurred on Friday in connection with him recording a video.
The YouTuber was found by rescue divers and life-saving efforts were made on the spot. When Tor Eckhoff then flew by ambulance helicopter to hospital, his life could not be saved, according to Aftonbladet.
