Manchester United and Young Boys finished 1-1 in the last match for the teams in the group stage of the Champions League. In the second half the duel continued to be sharp. Anthony Elianga missed a serious situation in the 59th minute after shooting straight into the body of guard Guillaume Favre. Seven minutes later, Silvan Hefti also forced Dean Henderson to intervene well in the 66th minute.
By the end of the match, both teams missed several more positions, but the final winner was not reached. Thus, United finished first in the group with 11 points, while the Swiss dropped out of the tournament with high heads.
