Technology for audio devices has evolved in recent years. To the ease of having wireless headphones via bluetooth, True Wireless Stereo (TWS) technology was added. What does it consist of?.
Its technology allows two audio devices to be connected to each other, without using cables for it; generating a stereo bluetooth speaker sound system.
Operation requires a transmitter or player device, which sends the signal via bluetooth to the product (smartphone, tablet or computer): the master device, which is the one that receives the signal and, at the same time, sends the signal to the other device ; and the slave device, which receives the signal from the master device.
In some auriculares TWS, the smartphone would be the player device that sends the music to the headphones; the right earphone would be the master device and the left earphone the slave.
José Alberto Pérez, product manager ecosystem for Xiaomi Peru says that audio devices have improved both their technology and portability, going from wired speakers, to wireless and lightweight options, easy to install and use at any time.
“Depending on each category, speakers or headphones, there are several upgrades that we can mention. For example, in the case of loudspeakers, today there is a greater use of voice controllers that allow the management, or control, of IoT (internet of things) products ”, he mentioned.
Also – he adds – the speakers are already resistant to water or harsh environments, with better sound quality and more watts.
“Regarding the category of hearing aids, those with TWS technology are gaining wide participation with respect to wired ones among those users looking for a 100% hands-free solution,” he pointed out to gestion.pe.
In addition, he points out, more and more products are used that can be automatically synchronized with two devices, which have more professional noise cancellation, more autonomy and better fit in the ear.
How much do they pay
There are price segments for all user preferences.
“However, although a greater preference is seen in entry models, we must emphasize that there are TWS headphones with different characteristics both in sound, autonomy, noise cancellation, charges, touch management, and as a consequence of different prices,” he says.
Although in the Peruvian market you can access headphones with TWS from S / 99, these can exceed S / 1,000.
According to Xiaomi, the forward trend is a greater presence of TWS headphones, especially for users who use them for entertainment.
“There is also a growing trend towards home solutions speakers integrated into home automation. That is, together with other technological devices, they connect to the home network to communicate with each other, and with the user, in such a way that the consumer can program or command them ”, comments the product manager ecosystem for Xiaomi Peru.
Other teams that are also preferred by the Peruvian market are soundbar speakers.
These take up less space, have less cable and are simpler than home theaters, while providing a very good sound experience.
Like other brands that opted to expand with other products that are complemented by smartphones, Xiaomi now has headphones, smartwatch, smartband, power bank.
“But we are not left alone with it. For this reason, we develop AIoT products that can be managed from our smartphones, such as smart vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, smart speakers, ”said Pérez.
