This video essay is an analysis of Wong Kar Wai’s use of color. WKW is undoubtedly one of the great colors of cinema. His films are known for their distinctive style, in which colors segment and blur into each other. The color in the films is the result of a collaboration between the director and his cameraman, in this case Christopher Doyle. Color is one of the most powerful factors in someone’s psychological structure. This video was made to pay tribute to one of the greatest filmmakers.
