WhatsApp users can soon make themselves unsure

WhatsApp
wants to expand its data protection settings shortly, which should be well received by many users. This gives you a new function with which you can make yourself “invisible” from unpleasant contacts.

Extension for “last online” status

WhatsApp users currently have three options for “last online” status: “Everyone”, “My contacts” and “Nobody”. Depending on the selected settings, everyone, only your own contacts or nobody, can see the last time you were online with the messenger service. Anyone who would like only some, but not all, contacts to see the “last online” status, looked through their fingers up to now. You could only choose “Nobody.

These three options are currently available.

“My contacts except …”

But that should soon be over. According to WABetaInfo WhatsApp added a fourth option to the current beta versions for iOS and Android. This is “My contacts except …”. In the future, users will be able to exclude certain contacts from being informed about their “last online” status and thus make themselves “invisible” to unpleasant contacts.

Should come soon

When WhatsApp will activate the new function for all users has not yet been determined. Since it is already integrated in the beta versions of iOS and Android, it could be rolled out with one of the next updates.
