Big blue skies, sunshine and summer temperatures. This weekend is for the less pleasant on the side of the sky in Côte-d’Or. Perfect conditions which will remain in place until the end of the day on Sunday to the delight of all those who are on the weekend. But the situation could well deteriorate at the start of the evening on Sunday.
Rain, gusts of 70 km/h, hail…
Indeed, according to the latest forecasts, a stormy front should hit the west of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté at the end of the day. If the Saône-et-Loire should be rather concerned at the end of the afternoon, it is in the evening that the electric episode should affect a good part of the Côte-d’Or. It is mainly to the west of a line Is-sur-Tille – Nolay that the storms should be the strongest. But the rest of the department, in particular Dijon, should not completely escape the phenomenon.
Under the thunderstorms, the rains could be locally heavy. Gusts reaching 70 km/h are also to be expected, as is a risk of hail. However, as often with thunderstorms, these violent episodes should be triggered locally and not generalize.
Other stormy episodes in the days to come
And if the coming week promises to be still generally summery, other episodes of stormy instability are to be expected in the coming days. Monday and Thursday should be the most electric days according to forecasters from MeteoNews.
