Offenbach (dpa / lrs) – After a cloudy weekend, the people in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland are also accompanied by gray autumn weather at the start of the new week. In the coming nights, drivers also have to be prepared for some slippery roads.
Sunday is likely to be foggy and cloudy in many places, there is occasional drizzle, as the German Weather Service (DWD) reported on Saturday in Offenbach. For the night of Monday, the meteorologists expect temperatures between 2 and 5 degrees, in the mountains it can be slippery in places with temperatures around freezing point, especially in the Eifel.
At the beginning of the new week, the rain subsides, but strong gusts are to be expected in the mountains on Monday. The temperatures during the day are 5 to 8 degrees. In the night on Tuesday, however, it cools down again. Drivers have to be prepared for the slippery road again at lows between plus 1 and minus 2 degrees and in mountainous areas at temperatures as low as minus 4 degrees. From Tuesday on, it shouldn’t rain anymore, the maximum temperatures should reach 7 degrees, plus a strong gusty refreshing wind blows at times.
