Hands-on with detailed iPhone 13 Pro Max dummy

In a new video from UnboxTherapy is a lifelike dummy of the iPhone 13 Pro Max on display. The dummy matches renders of the iPhone 13 Pro, which leaked last month. Posted last month EverythingApplePro also a video about an iPhone 13 Pro Max dummy with the same design features. The chance that Apple will opt for this design therefore seems to be increasing.

iPhone dummies appear every year and are often based on renders leaked through Apple’s supply sources. The dummies are used by accessory makers to develop suitable cases before the new iPhones are actually available. The dummy in the video of UnboxTherapy is provided by Ben Geskin, a reliable Apple tasty.

Main differences with iPhone 12 Pro Max

At first glance, the larger camera lenses of the iPhone 13 Pro Max dummy stand out in particular. The iPhone 12 Pro Max already had a large camera module, but the new iPhone is said to take this one step further. Apple seems to be significantly improving the cameras of the iPhone 13 series. There have been rumors about a better camera in the iPhone 13 Pro Max for some time.

The smaller notch and the new location of the speaker are also striking. Wrote about the alleged smaller notch of the iPhone 13 iPhoned before. Apple has used the same size for the notch since the arrival of the iPhone X, while other smartphone manufacturers have long switched to smaller screen notches.

The dummy in the video is also slightly thicker and heavier than the iPhone 12 Pro Max. This is – if we are to believe the rumors – because of a larger battery, which is needed due to a new 120Hz screen. Due to the fast refresh rate, this screen consumes more energy than the screen of the current iPhone.
