The Orange Lionesses paid a visit to the New Zealand police on Wednesday. The team of national coach Andries Jonker visited the police dogs department.
There they were given a demonstration by a police dog, but the highlight of the visit was the young recruits of the New Zealand police. The puppies got all the attention of the Lionesses, with the necessary ‘oh’s’ and ‘ah’s’ coming from their mouths. The players of Orange hugged it out.
“Truly the best day of my life”, Danielle van de Donk was enthusiastic. Caitlin Dijkstra was also delighted. “That makes you completely happy,” said the defender.
