The press service of the Azov Brigade reported this successful combat operation. Accordingly, their drones attacked 14 weapons units, including Msta-S self-propelled guns, 3 tanks, a large number of vehicles and an armored vehicle similar to Z-STS Akhmat of Russian army.

“Even now, at a difficult time for the (Azov) unit, we continue to inflict significant losses on the enemy. We will do everything to respond to the Russians for destroying our cities, avenge our dead and wounded,” Azov’s statement read.

Previously, in October last year, Ukraine said that its battle-hardened Azov Brigade had returned to the front line and was fighting in the forests of Donetsk.

United24 – a fundraising platform operated by the Ukrainian government recently posted a video showing soldiers of the Azov brigade fighting inside trenches in the Serebryansky forest.

This forest is located near the Russian-controlled town of Kreminna, which has been the center of some of the fiercest fighting since Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine since late February 2022. In the video, Azov soldiers are attacking Russian positions in the forest.

The Azov Brigade, founded in 2014, is made up of volunteers who fought together against pro-Russian forces in the conflict in Donbass. The main base of the Azov brigade is located in Mariupol.

This force played an important role in defending the city against Russian attacks and became a symbol of resistance.

After the fall of Mariupol, Azov soldiers retreated to the Azovstal steel factory, hiding inside the factory’s underground tunnels. Many soldiers were captured by Russia and later released in prisoner exchanges with Ukraine.
