In the television world is Karin Lindström (formerly Star) a well-known face. Through the 25 years she has been active in the industry, she has managed to tick off jobs such as Endemol Shine, MTG TV and TV4. Among the productions she has worked with are Masterchef, Big Brother, Lego Masters, Masters of the Masters, Beck, Caliphate, Björnstad and Beforeigners.
In February, Dagens Media reported that she had been recruited to Nord DDB to find new program initiatives. But it would turn out to be a fairly short stay at the advertising agency. Now it is clear that she goes to Amazon Prime Video to become Head of Originals Norden.
The position she took up last August is based in Stockholm, but she reports to Georgia Brown who is the head of Amazon Originals in Europe.
At the same time, Amazon is picking Prime Video Andreas Hjertø from Nent to become Principal, Content Acquisition Norden. That task is to identify and secure the best local content for the Nordic audience. He reports to Martin Backlund, Head of Content UK / IE and the Nordics.
The two recruitments are described in a press release as part of an investment in locally produced content and acquired Nordic content.
Dagens Media has sought Karin Stjärne but has been told by Amazon Prime Video’s Swedish PR agency Wenderfalck that she is declining interviews right now.
