The “Bulls” celebrated a 1-0 victory against the Norwegian club Frisk Asker in the Salzburg ice arena on Friday evening and thus also ended the third game in Group H successfully. Already on Sunday (8.20 p.m., live on ORF Sport + and in the livestream) the next task awaits the leader with the home duel with the Polish representative JKH GKS Jastrzebie. Away there was a 3-2 win.
After Salzburg’s Frisk Asker had clearly put in their place with 6: 2 abroad, this time only one goal was scored in front of the home crowd. Peter Schneider advanced to the match winner in the final section (47th) in front of 1,052 spectators and ensured that the next step towards play-off participation was taken.
Already on Thursday the KAC celebrated a clear 5: 1 (0: 1 1: 1 0: 3) success in Pool G in the third round away from Danish champions Rungsted. In the table, the Carinthians lead with seven points ahead of the same points HK Donbass Donetsk and Rouen (four points each). The French champion Rouen defeated the Ukrainians 4-3 at home. Rungsted has three points. The KAC will continue against Rouen on Saturday (7.30 p.m.).
