“Fox News” reported on September 1 that “Guoxuan High-Tech”, headquartered in Hefei, China, has repeatedly claimed that it has no relationship with the CCP. However, in the report and video released in July 2021, it can be found that not only did the company arrange for employees to go to the CCP Revolutionary Memorial Hall in Anhui Province, China, but the employees also dressed in the costumes of the CCP’s Red Army, raised their hands to salute the CCP flag, and swore “for communism.” Fight to the end of your life.”

After this video of Guoxuan’s allegiance to the CCP was exposed, its project in Michigan faced strict scrutiny from local people, Washington national security experts and Republican lawmakers.

Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed an NDA involving a Chinese-linked company, contradicting her past claims, documents show.

Opponents of the project note Guoxuan’s loyalty to Beijing, noting that the company’s charter states that it must “carry out party activities in accordance with the charter of the Communist Party of China”.

According to a report by The Midwesterner, Guoxuan mentioned in its 2022 ESG report that Guoxuan Hi-Tech “carried out thematic education activities such as studying the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, red theme education, and caring for students.”

Michigan – Joseph Cella, co-founder of the China Economic and Security Review Group and former U.S. ambassador, previously told Fox News: “Invasions are happening at the local level.” He said, “The Chinese Communist Party is looking for opportunities, and they The states are looking for gates to hack. They already have enormous influence. You just have to look at Guoxuan or CATL—these are textbook examples of this kind of influence at work.”

In April, Serra and former U.S. ambassador Peter Hoekstra, who helped found the Michigan-China Economic and Security Review Panel, asked the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate Guoxuan for possible violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act. Open a federal investigation.

On August 1, the government of Green Charter Township in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA (Green Charter Township) approved Guoxuan’s plan to set up a local factory, hoping that Guoxuan’s US$2.34 billion investment will bring about economic development.

Earlier this year, the Michigan Senate Appropriations Committee approved $175 million in direct taxpayer funds for Guoxuan to help build the facility.

But many people did not pay the bill, and even launched a petition to recall the town committee.

Local resident Marjorie Steele told the hearing she was angry. Because the vote was on the agenda with little information so people like her didn’t know it was happening.

Guoxuan chose a location next to an airport in Big Rapids and less than 100 miles from Camp Grayling, a training base for the U.S. National Guard.

In the past year, the relationship between the United States and China has continued to be tense. After incidents such as the CCP’s spy balloon, local residents are worried about the national security threat posed by the CCP.
