Today, Monday, the Russian Ministry of Defense revealed that a military satellite had been successfully launched into orbit from the Plesetsk cosmodrome.

Moscow- Sputnik. The ministry said in a statement: “The satellite was launched to its orbital location with the Russian accelerator unit, Fregat, in a timely manner, and it was accepted into the circle of controlling ground means of the Russian Aerospace Forces.”

For the time being, a stable telemetry communication with the spacecraft is being maintained, stating that “the systems on board the spacecraft are operating normally, and the spacecraft’s serial number has been assigned ‘Kosmos 2569’.”

The Russian Ministry of Defense also clarified that “the launch of the Soyuz 2.1B carrier missile and the estimated time of launching the satellite into orbit were normal.”

It is noteworthy that the use of “Frigat” accelerator units in carrier rockets is done as an additional stage, and they provide spacecraft with a launch to various near-earth orbits, in addition to the interplanetary paths.
