Bordeaux (AFP) – The deputy of Gironde ex-LREM Benoit Simian (Liberties and Territories), implicated by his wife in the context of a heated divorce, is sent back to correctional for “harassment”, we learned Wednesday from the prosecutor’s office of Bordeaux.
The deputy will be tried on March 24, 2022, said the prosecution, confirming information from Mediapart.
The deputy for Médoc, confirming this summons to AFP, denounced “the clear intention to harm me” on the part of his wife in the context of a divorce procedure still in progress.
In December 2020, the office of the National Assembly rejected the request for the waiver of immunity formulated by the Bordeaux prosecutor’s office, believing that Benoit Simian had “always complied” with summons to justice and free hearings.
The request of the Bordeaux justice was part of an investigation by the gendarmerie “for moral harassment by spouse”, following actions denounced by Ms. Simian targeting her husband.
This file is linked to a “highly contentious” divorce procedure with “cross complaints”, then indicated a source close to the file.
